Journeyman CNC Machinist

Reardon Machine Co., Inc. – St. Joseph, Missouri

Reardon Machine Co., Inc. is seeking an experienced Journeyman CNC Machinist to join our team. With 50 years in business, Reardon Machine is an established machining company looking for skilled individuals who take pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.

The ideal candidate will have strong CNC machining experience and be comfortable setting up and operating equipment while working from blueprints, drawings, and job specifications. We are looking for someone who can work independently, troubleshoot machining issues, and consistently maintain the quality and precision our customers expect.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machining equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job specifications
  • Perform machine setups, tooling changes, and adjustments as needed
  • Verify dimensions and tolerances using appropriate measuring and inspection equipment
  • Monitor machining operations and make adjustments to maintain quality
  • Troubleshoot tooling, setup, and machining issues
  • Inspect completed parts to ensure they meet required specifications
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow company procedures and established safety practices
  • Work independently while also contributing as part of the production team

Qualifications

  • Journeyman-level CNC machining experience
  • Strong knowledge of CNC machining practices, tooling, speeds, and feeds
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and manufacturing drawings
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
  • Ability to perform setups and make necessary machine adjustments
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts
  • Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to troubleshoot machining problems and work with minimal supervision
